Ga Day Names

The Ga people of Ghana frequently name their children after the day of the week they were born and the order in which they were born. These day names originated from the neighbouring Akan people and have spread through West Africa, from Benin/Dahomey (Fon) and Togo (Ewe) to Cote d'Ivoire (Baoule), and throughout the African diaspora.
